This week on wash day I was tired and really didn't want to wash my hair, but it was so weighed down with product I couldn't stand it anymore. Since I was working with a shortened time frame I changed things up a little bit. Here's what I did:
Pre-pooedBeing only one week post, I skipped sectioning my hair and there was no need for any long detangling session. I pre-pooed with Eden BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner, put my hair up in a twist on the top of my head and left it for 30 minutes. The conditioner sank into my hair. After rinsing my hair felt soft getting my wash day off to a good start.
CleansedFor cleansing I used my post-relaxer cleanser of Thermafuse f450 Smooth Balance Shampoo (my review). It really cleaned my hair and scalp removing all of the product build-up. I followed up with a green tea rinse.
ConditionedBefore applying my conditioner I wrung out the excess green tea. The conditioner I used was Thermafuse f450 Smooth Balance Condition. I applied it without rinsing out the green tea.
Leave in and sealantI t-shirt dried for about an hour, applied Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Leave In that I mixed with Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil Deep Nourish. I received the Marvelous Oil as a sample. It has a pleasant smell and a little goes a long way.
DriedI used the low heat setting on my hooded drier to finish drying. This took about 55 minutes. Once dried, I cross-wrapped my hair and went to bed.
Wash day results
My hair felt soft and moisturized afterwards. And there was virtually no shedding (yea!). I was so pleased with my hair that I wore it out to church the next day (gasp!).
