Eden BodyWorks is a brand that I stumbled onto through their
Coconut Shea Leave-In Conditioner. I love the leave-in and wanted to try some of the other products, particularly in the Jojoba Monoi line since I have had a hard time finding a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner my hair likes that lasts more than a couple of washes.
So I purchased the
Jojoba Monoi Shampoo and Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner during a B2G1 sale at Sally Beauty. For this review, I am focusing on the deep conditioner.
Deep conditioning is a very important part of a hair care regimen, particularly if you have chemically treated hair from relaxing or coloring. It can help restore or maintain the elasticity of hair allowing it to better withstand and minimize damage during styling and other manipulation.
I was one of the chosen to receive the Vow VoxBox from Influenster which contained several free beauty goodies for me to test and share my personal opinions on.
I've wanted to incorporate more coconut oil into my relaxed hair regimen so earlier this week I started my pre-poo early by putting coconut oil on my scalp and hair before bed. That ended up being a mistake. The sides and back of my scalp were itching like crazy! I think it was the coconut oil.
The odd thing was I've used it on my scalp before and didn't have this reaction. Also, the front and top of my scalp were fine. Go figure.
I ended up going through the day with my scalp itching (talk about torture) and then did my weekly wash.
More and more I’m seeing people asking how they can save money on gas because the rising prices it’s really cutting into their budget.
I’ve cut back on some of my driving because of the higher gas prices so I’m not feeling as much of a pinch as others but that hasn’t stopped me from looking for ways to save some money with each trip to the pump.
I’ve done some research by reading reviews and articles to find the best options for saving money on gas. I found a few options and gave some a try myself to see how they work and how much you can save.
I just got back from a missions trip to the Dominican Republic and couldn't wait to wash my relaxed hair. Due to being outside for several hours in the heat and sunshine, riding in vans with the window open, and hitting the beach for a few hours, my hair took a bit of a beating. I'll be writing a post soon to share
how I prepared my hair and maintained it while I was in the Dominican Republic.
Now on to the wash day! Oh and sorry, I got lazy and didn't take any pictures of the results.
When Herbal Essences came out with their new naked line of shampoos and conditioners I couldn't wait to give them a try. Since I wanted to use more natural based products on my relaxed hair I decided to make the cleansing conditioner my trial product from the Herbal Essences Naked line.
I am now a little over six weeks post my last relaxer touch-up. I didn't have a lot of time this week to spend on a long wash day, so I tried to keep it kind of simple. I also decided to try my hand at air drying my relaxed hair. Keep reading to see how my hair turned out.
You've heard about coconut oil and all of
the benefits coconut oil provides for relaxed hair. But you're not quite sure where to begin, how to include coconut oil into your relaxed hair regimen.
Coconut oil is such a versatile oil that it can be used in several ways on relaxed hair. It can also be used however often you'd like to use it - every day, once a week, or once a month.
I've been using coconut oil for a while now and use it in multiple ways within my relaxed hair regimen to get the most benefits for my hair.
