Ulta Gorgeous Hair Event Picks For Relaxed Hair

It’s that time of the year again! It’s time for Ulta’s Gorgeous Hair Event!

This year the Hair Event is running from October 6 - 26. During these 20 days, Ulta will have various daily deals of 50% off select hair products. Some of the products are available online only but the majority can be bought online and in the store. This is a great time to stock up on hair staples and try new products you’ve been hesitant about because of price.

When I heard that this sale was coming, I have to admit I was a little skeptical. The last couple of sales Ulta had, the 21 days beauty and then the Fall Haul I was not impressed with the products that were on sale. They felt pretty lackluster to me so I was anticipating the Hair Event to feel the same.

When I received my catalog from Ulta in the mail I immediately went inside and started looking through it. To my surprise, there were a few deals that caught my eye. Here are my picks from the Gorgeous Hair Event sale.

Personally, nothing stood out to me for the first three days. It wasn’t until October 9th that I saw some deals that caught my eye. That day the entire brand of TGIN is on sale.

My top pick from the brand is one of the two products I’ve tried from the brand, the Green Tea Super Moist Leave-in Conditioner. It’s kinda the only leave-in I’m using right now because of how hydrated and soft it leaves my relaxed hair. Plus, it’s protein and silicone-free.

I’ve also tried the TGIN Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer. Just like the Super Moist Leave-in it really softened my hair and added a lot of moisture. While I liked it, after a while it was too much for my hair due to the silicone and protein in it.

Some other TGIN products that I’ve heard good things about from other relaxed hair ladies are the Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo and Honey Miracle Hair Mask Deep Conditioner.

Also on sale on October 9th is the Revlon Paddle Dryer. It’s originally $39.99 but it’s on sale for $19.99! If you were thinking about trying it this is the time to do it.

The next interesting date for me is a week later on October 16. That day the entire brands of Mizani and Design Essentials are on sale, as well as Macadamia Professional Masques.

In the past, I’ve had hairstylists use Mizani and Design Essentials products on my hair. And I have to admit I liked the way my hair turned out during those style visits.

The one product from Mizani that have on my Ulta wishlist is the Thermasmooth Anti-frizz Shampoo. The reasons being that it’s said to be smoothing and moisturizing for dry and damaged hair. It also claims to provide some thermal protection which is good because I blow dry my hair and repels humidity which is perfect for Florida weather.

Now to Design Essentials. While I haven’t tried them yet the Natural Almond & Avocado Moisturizing & Detangling Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Natural Almond and Avocado Detangling Leave-In Conditioner look to be good picks from the brand. Especially if you’re interested in focusing on moisture and smoothing your hair.

Some other daily deals that may be of interest are

I really don’t need any new hair products right now so outside of stocking up on the TGIN Green Tea Super Moist Leave-in Conditioner I will probably have to refrain from participating in the sale but that doesn’t mean you have to.

And if you're doing any of your shopping during the event online don't forget to sign up for and use Ebates so you can get some cash back on your purchase.
