After sectioning and detangling it was time to apply my pre-poo products. The pre-poo consisted of a hot oil treatment of Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Coconut Oil on my scalp. On my strands I used Eden BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner. After applying everything I put on my heating cap for about an hour.
After rinsing out my pre-poo products I cleansed with a macadamia oil shampoo.
Next came a green tea rinse applied only to my scalp and I conditioned with the last of my keratin oil conditioner and some of the coconut milk conditioner to give my hair some protein.
Afterwards my hair felt moisturized and not dry like I feared after using the coconut milk conditioner which is a bit heavy on the protein.
After t-shirt drying for a couple of hours I applied Nothing But Melted Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner and sealed with sunflower oil (yes I haven't used it all yet).
Now it was time to decide how I wanted to finish drying. Having no desire to air-dry I put my hair into three braids to stretch my new growth and sat under my hooded dryer for about 40 minutes. I also wore the braids to bed and ended up with a mini braid out the next day which made a nice textured low bun.
