My Post Christmas Relaxed Hair Product Haul

I'm not a product junkie...at least I don't think so. However, I did rack up on some new and old goodies at Sally Beauty and from an online purchase. Here's what I got.

Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Black Castor Oil

I decided to give this product a whirl because of my scalp issues. Some of the benefits are stimulated blood circulation and anti-fungal treatment. I chose the Tropic Isle Living brand after doing some online research and seeing good reviews and results from other bloggers. I bought it off eBay using a gift card won from Influenster, so I paid $0 for it. You'll see this product pop up in my upcoming wash day post. After several uses, I'll be giving a full product review.

Nothing But Melted Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner

This was purchased on a whim. I'd run out of the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner, but didn't see it in Sally's and didn't feel like visiting a big box store so soon after Christmas. When I saw this product on the shelf and read the ingredient list it didn't make me flinch. I decided to give it a try.

Some of the ingredients that stood out to me were glycerin which is listed as the second listed ingredient, hydrolyzed keratin, and hydrogenated castor oil. I won't be using this for a while so it won't be included in my upcoming wash day post. This will also get a full product review after several uses.

SheaMoisture Shampoos

I love the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Deep Cleansing Shampoo and have been using it as a clarifying shampoo. Once I ran out I oddly didn't replace it, but when I saw Sally Beauty Supply was having a B2G1 sale on SheaMoisture I decided I would stock up. I went to two Sally's in Tampa, FL a couple of times and they were always out. So I visited the Sally Beauty store near my parent's house in North Carolina during my Christmas break and they had several.

This Sally Beauty also had the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo which I've wanted to try for months. I got two African Black Soap shampoos and one Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo. I'll be using the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo during my next wash day. After a few uses, I'll do a full product review.

Silk Elements MegaSilk Olive Glossing Polish

This one was a freebie. Because I renewed my Sally's membership earlier I was able to get a free Silk Element or Ion product free. I'd looked at Ion products before and seen back reviews so I opted for a Sill Element product. The product I selected is the MegaSilk Glossing Polish. The ingredient list on this also didn't scare me away, so I'll be giving it a whirl during my next wash day.
