You’re looking for a way to make a little, or maybe a lot of, money with your blog. There are multiple ways to do that but there is one that seems to be pretty popular in the blogging community. That is affiliate marketing.
There are several bloggers I follow who swear by affiliate marketing and tend to make quite a bit of money from it. I know because I would read about it in their monthly income reports. Reading those reports made me realize I had I could have started making money sooner and could be potentially making more now.
Having relaxed hair was starting to look like it would be a thing of the past and those of us still relaxed would be a rare breed. In my family, my mom went natural years ago, and now my sister and aunt are newly natural.
The crazy thing is now every week there seem to be one or two more ladies making the shift from natural to relaxed either for the first time or again. Some of those have been well-known YouTubers who went natural and are now relaxed again.
I belong to a few Relaxed Hair groups and even there I’ve been seeing more and more posts of women who have been natural for years now but decided to transition to relaxed hair and are asking for advice.
We are well into the new year and by the time this post has gone live, we’ll have passed the point when statistically people tend to start falling off their New Year Resolutions. Well, I won’t be one of them. Because I don’t set any.
This isn’t anything new. It’s been going on for years. I found early on in my life that keeping New Year Resolutions is hard and most people tend to not achieve any of them.
Instead, I started to set yearly goals and that seemed to work for me. That’s probably because when setting goals I seemed to think about them more seriously and formulated a plan to achieve them. I also was realistic about the goals I set and the related timeline.
When I started my healthy relaxed hair journey I created yearly goals for myself and even tracked them on my blog (you can read some of them here). But at a point,
I decided that I didn’t need any more hair goals. That was a mistake.
This year I’m not making the same mistake and am setting some goals for my hair. What about you? Are you setting any goals?
Keep reading to see what mine are.
I have a confession.
One of my favorite types of stores to visit is the home improvement store. I can spend a good hour or two in Lowes or Home Depot looking at all of the various ways I can upgrade different rooms in my home. This has become a more frequent occurrence since I became a homeowner.
I have a list of upgrades and changes I’d like to make to freshen up and enhance the look of my home. The kicker is, doing everything on my list would cost more than my budget could take so I’ve had to find ways to make changes that don’t cost a lot but have an impact.
