February Highlights + Faves

Month 2 of 2020 is now in the books. This was a leap year so we got an extra 24 hours this year. I wish I could say I took advantage of the extra day and had a very productive month. But I can't.

My leap day was probably more productive than the rest of the month. My leap day consisted of attending a small group Bible study with some people from my church, running some errands, and taking a nap.

I'm still recovering from not feeling well during much of the month of February. This was due to my allergies kicking in full force. I’m on the mend and am looking forward to accomplishing in March the things I didn’t get to in February.

Before we get too far into the month of March I wanted to share my highlights and favs from February.

Highlights

Mielle wash day

I did a full wash day using mostly products from Mielle Organics. They are products that I’d been wanting to try out for a while. I was so excited about trying them out I recorded my first impressions. You can watch the video below.

Relaxer touch-up

I had my first salon visit and relaxer touch-up of 2020. I was ready for it. My new growth was becoming something serious. I shared a recap of the visit, results, and an update on how my relaxed hair regimen revisions are coming along.

My makeup vanity

I finally have a really makeup vanity! I’ve been wanting one for years so I have a good place to store and do my makeup. I purchased the Josie Desk from Wayfair in Graphite Gray to use it as my makeup vanity.

Previously I was storing my makeup in a travel makeup case and keeping it in a night table drawer. Every day I would take that case into the bathroom to do my makeup. I love that I now have one consistent place to keep and do my makeup everyday.

Faves

Wayfair

Since I’ve been in update mode for the house I’ve been spending a bit of time browsing Wayfair. I’ve found so many items on there I like a few that I’m probably going to buy for the house.

Here are some of the products I’m loving right now

Fetch Rewards app

I’m all about finding ways to save or make money when I shop. There are several apps that I’m currently using to do that so I wasn’t looking to add another one but when I found out about the Fetch Rewards app I couldn’t resist downloading it and creating an account.

With Fetch, I can scan my grocery receipts to earn points that I can then cash in for gift card rewards. Within my first day of having the app, I’d earned enough for a $5 gift card!

If you’d like to give it a try you use my referral code GRGFT when you sign up and get 2,000 points when you scan your first receipt.

90 Day Fiance

This is my weekly guilty pleasure. If you haven't watched 90 Day Fiance you are missing out! It comes on TLC Sunday nights. I watch every episode live on Sunday and then during the week, I watch YouTube videos of people doing recaps and sharing their thoughts on each episode.

I'm looking forward to this season of 90 Day Fiance as the last season was kinda boring but this season looks like it will be a lot more interesting and entertaining.

Ballet flats

I was shopping in Target and came across some ballet flats from the brand A New Day. The flats are called Women's Kora Microsuede Pointed Toe Ballet Flats. The reviews weren’t so good but I loved the taupe color and couldn’t resist giving them a try.

I wore the shoes to work which requires me to walk 3 blocks from my car to the office building in the morning and evening. Plus, I wore them when I was serving in the kid's ministry at church and I don’t do a lot of sitting those days. I had no issues and ended up buying the other two colors as well.
