What I Would Buy During The Ulta Spring Haul Event

One of the reasons I like shopping at Ulta is because they give hair and beauty shoppers multiple options throughout the year to stock up on favorites. They do this by having a lot of sales. This particular sale I'll be talking about is called the Spring Haul.

During this sale, you can find discounts of up to 40% off every day makeup, hair care, skincare, body care, and more.

Personally, I kinda have a greater preference for the Spring Haul because I’ve heard of and would purchase more of the brands that participate. Alright, enough about me (for now) here are the details for this year’s event.

It starts on April 9, 2024 and runs through April 20, 2024
Makeup, nail, skincare, sun care, body care, wellness, and hair care are all on sale
Discounts vary but can be up to 50% (I've found most of the discounts tend to be less)
You can shop in-store or buy online and pick up in-store or curbside
Some products are only available online

Makeup & nail

30% off Real Techniques

If you need new makeup brushes and sponges take a look at what’s on sale with Real Techniques. I've used the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to apply liquid foundations and even setting powder.

There are a couple of new products Real Techniques recently released that I've been seeing everywhere on social media. One is the Miracle 2-In-1 Dual Sided Powder Puff. It's a powder puff with two sides so it can be used to apply powders, liquids, and creams. So you don't have to switch applicators to put on a full face of makeup. The pink side is for powder application while the Orange side is made of Miracle Complexion Sponge material for the application and blending of liquid or cream makeup.

The other product I've been seeing a lot of is the Mini Miracle Concealer Makeup Puff Trio. These mini puffs are for applying liquid or cream concealers and getting the maximum coverage for quick on-the-go touch-ups. They are cute but seem so small that I would probably get frustrated and annoyed using them.

I’ve only used one Morphe product (it's not on sale) but I tend to see some good reviews of the brand. Also, I’ve looked at and thought about buying several eye shadow palettes from this brand including some that are on sale during the Spring Haul

I’m not a fan of buy-one-get-one sales unless they’re for a product or brand you already use. This isn’t a compelling enough sale for me to buy but that won’t stop me from looking.

My sister uses this brand or at least one of the eye shadow palettes. I’ve seen the palette and liked it but don’t ask me which one it was because she told me and I don’t remember. That’s not going to stop me though from sharing some items that stand out to me

Not a Box of Chocolates Pressed Powder Palette. I’m a sucker for brown eyeshadows and this palette is full of them.
Whatever Eyeshadow Palette which has rich burgundy and warm terracotta shades in mattes, glitters, and shimmers

I have several Juvia’s Place eye shadow palettes and really like them. A couple of them I dip into every day. I have The Berries, The Chocolates, The Taupes, and The Nomad.

I kinda see this brand as one for those with combination or dry skin. Nevertheless, I’ve tried a couple of the facial sprays and they were helpful in the winter.

One brand I’ve had my eye on but haven’t been able to pull the trigger on yet is Urban Skin Rx. Its Combination Cleansing Bar and Even Tone Cleansing Bar are on sale.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about the brand La Roche-Posay and its Effaclar Micellar Water For Oily Skin and Pigmentclar Brightening Foaming Cream Cleanser are on sale.

One of my favorite cleansers is on sale the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. For those with sensitive skin, there’s the Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Select facial moisturizers are up to 30% off

Cetaphil moisturizers are on sale. I've only used one body moisturizer and felt it was good for the winter but a little too thick for me to use in the warmer months. I feel like I’d feel the same way for several other ones like the Moisturizing Cream With Pump for Normal to Dry Skin with Ceramides.

The current moisturizer I’m using on my face during the day is on sale - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer SPF 50.

Once again this could be a good time to give the brand La Roche-Posay a try as there are several moisturizers on sale.

Another brand to check out is Thayers. I love their facial toners and have tried a couple of the facial moisturizers. I like that the Thayers facial moisturizers are formulated based on skin type. Unfortunately, it looks like only the Soak It Up 80HR Liquid Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin is on sale.

Some of the people who I’ve talked skincare with have mentioned they like using No7 moisturizers which are on sale during the Spring Haul.

Face peels, face masks, acne treatments, and face serums are on sale. There are multiple brands included in this group of products such as La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, L'Oreal, and No7. I don't have any specific recommendations for these products.

Body care

I don't have any recommendations in this area as I realized I haven't used any body care products from Ulta before. The body care products on sale include up to 30% off select bath and shower, sunscreen, and body moisturizers.

Hair care

Not only are the hair care items listed at the bottom of the sale list but it’s also the product group that has fewer products on sale. There are some decent deals to be found though,
