Your Ultimate Guide to Ulta's Best Fall Haul Deals

Another season, another Ulta sale. This time it’s the Fall Haul sale. While the deals aren’t as good as the 21 Days of Beauty, which typically comes prior to the products going on sale, they are more practical and for the masses. Essentially, this is the sale for all of the drugstore brands. So it's a great time to stock up on your favorites and try something new.

About the Ulta Fall Haul sale

The sale runs from September 19 through October 3 this year.

During this sale, every main category is on sale - hair, makeup, skincare, and body care. Deals range in percentage off, topping out at 30% off. Products are available for purchase online or in-store unless otherwise noted. 


My deal selections

I’ve scoured the sale and pulled out some key products that stood out to me as good deals. I haven't listed everything that is on sale, but I did include links at the bottom of the post to these deals and ones I'm not mentioning.

30% off select Juvia’s Place eye and face 

When it comes to face products, I’ve purchased the I Am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation, but the shade was so off that I wasn't able to wear it. So I can’t speak to how it feels or wears on my oily skin.

A couple of products I haven't tried yet but have had my eye on for a while are the Bronzed Duo in tan or dark and the Blush Duo Vo 1 (deep earthy tones). If I buy them, I would probably go to the store to see which shades look best on my skin tone.  

One Juvia's Place product I use that's on the sale list is the Ready, Set, Sealed Longwear Continuous Fix And Set Spray. I was gifted this and liked it enough that I use it in rotation with the other two setting sprays I use.


Bogo 50% off select L'Oréal

For a long time, I stuck to only using L'Oréal eye products - brow pencils and mascaras. Lately, I started to venture into using some of the face products. Specifically, the L'Oréal Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist Spray. 

This setting spray really locks my makeup in for hours. Even when my face got wet from some rain. I think it's good for oily and combination skin, but not dry skin.

I've also started trying out L'Oreal hair products on my relaxed hair, and several of those are included in this sale. 

I've been loving the EverPure Sulfate Free 21-in-1 Color Caring Leave In Spray. It's a heavy moisturizing leave-in that has multiple other benefits, including heat protection. So I've been using it as a heat protectant when heat-drying my hair.

Two other hair products I've used and liked are the Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Slayer Pre-Iron Spray Leave-In and EverPure Sulfate-Free Clarify Shampoo.

I used the Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Slayer Pre-Iron Spray Leave-In as a heat protectant before heat-drying my hair. I don't know that I'll continue using it, as I like the results I get with the EverPure Sulfate Free 21-in-1 Color Caring Leave In Spray better.

The EverPure Sulfate-Free Clarify Shampoo is pretty good, though it's not as moisturizing as another drugstore-priced clarifying shampoo I used to use.

Another hair product I've used is the EverPure Sulfate Free Bond Repair Pre-Shampoo Treatment. I got it as a free sample in the mail, so I only got a few uses out of it and used it sporadically. I don't think I got a really good idea of how it performs, so I want to get a full-size bottle and give it another try.



BOGO 50% off select NYX

NYX is a makeup brand I discovered a few years ago. I tried out a few products and have been using select products from the brand ever since.

Those products are the Matte Finish Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray and Shine Killer Charcoal Infused Mattifying Primer. They are both staples for me when I want my makeup to last and look good during a long day.


Up to 30% off skincare

I'm a big proponent of having a good skincare regimen. So I love to see when skincare is on sale. Several brands and products that I use in my skincare regimen are part of the Fall Haul this year.

I use the Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original Acne Pimple Patches when I have a pimple show up on my face. I'm able to apply a patch after doing my nighttime skincare and leave it on overnight. An alternative to the Mighty Patch is the Peach Slices Acne Dots. I've used both and think they perform similarly.

Thayers
This is a brand I recently became a fan of. I've mainly been using the toners but also tried some of the moisturizers. The Thayer's products I've used or would look at during this sale are the


Cetaphil
If you looked at the products I use on my oily skin, a Cetaphil cleanser is probably one you'd always see. My favorite Cetaphil cleanser is the Daily Facial Cleanser. It does a good job of removing dirt, oil, and makeup from my skin without drying my skin out. I use it day and night, and when traveling.

Neutrogena skincare
I have used a couple of the Neutrogena HydroBoost moisturizers. I like that they have hyaluronic acid in them and also SPF to help protect my skin from the sun. Of the two Neutrogena moisturizers I use, only one is sold at Ulta. That is the Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer SPF 50.

Some other notable Neutrogena products to try out are the Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum and the Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Fragrance Free.

CeraVe skin and body
I've used a facial and body moisturizer from this brand a few times and have had a good experience. I think many of these moisturizers are perfectly suited for the cooler and drier temps of Fall and Winter.

25% off  La Roche-Posay

This is a brand that I saw all over Europe when I was there this summer, and it has gained a lot of popularity here in the States. I've never tried any of the products, but if I were shopping for this brand during the sale, I would consider

Up to 30% off select nail products

I love a good manicure, but for some reason, nail polish tends to immediately chip after I get one. That led me to try the Dashing Diva gloss nail strips. They work much better for me and last two weeks than a manicure should. If you haven't used the nail strips, this is a good time to give them a try.

If you prefer nail polish, some Essie and Sally Hansen polishes are also on sale.



Up to 30% off select shampoos & conditioners

Not really the best deal you can get at Ulta, considering it sometimes has 50% off hair product sales. This deal can help you save a few dollars, though, if you’re running low on some favorites. Some of the brands on sale this year are OGX, Batiste, Not Your Mother's, TGIN, and Nexxus, just to name a few. Not all products from all of these hair brands are on sale, so you want to pay attention to the price before checking out.
